Hilliard FC (HFC)

What is the Hilliard FC (HFC) Club Program?

Hilliard FC
The most competitive program is the Hilliard FC Club. Evaluators determine the best players available based upon their performance at two successive nightly tryouts held specifically for each age group. HFC  teams are formed by contacting the best player and inviting them to play on a team, then contacting the next best player and so on until a complete team is formed. Should a sufficient number of players try out more than one team is formed in each age group. Selected players are expected to play for the team for one year and then must tryout and make the team again the next year.

The teams play in the Mid Ohio Select Soccer League (MOSSL), Buckeye Premier League, and against other teams in Central Ohio. During the year, the team will play a Fall and Spring season, attend training camps, participate in tournaments and may participate in optional Winter leagues or training sessions at indoor facilities. Professional Trainers coach HFC Club teams. Teams are from U9 to U18/19.

Registration for tryouts begin each May.

Hilliard FC travel program is broken down to two levels:  HFC Elite Teams (Blue and White teams) and HFC Select Teams (parent coached teams).  Hilliard FC also is over two non-tryout programs: Jr. Academy (U6 and U7) and U8 Academy.  To learn more about these two programs go to the "Programs" tab and then to "U8 Academy/Jr. Academy".

What is HFC Elite?
HFC Elite is the highest level a soccer player can play in Hilliard FC program.  Depending on the numbers of players trying out each age group can have up to two teams - a blue team and a white team with the blue team being the top team or "A team. The blue U9 and U10  teams will typically play in the top divisions of MOSSL while the U11 on up blue teams will typically play in the Buckeye Premier League.  Blue teams will travel farther for tournaments possibly including out-of-state tournaments throughout the season.  Te white teams will play the middle to top divisions of the MOSSL leagues.  Typically their tournament are local throughout their seasons.

What is HFC Select?
HFC Select is an extension of the Hilliard FC program but competes at a middle-tier level.  Players attend the same tryout/evaluation as the Hilliard FC players.   Players wishing not to be considered for the Hilliard FC club program may request to stay in the HFC Select program.    Teams will be formed via a draft conducted by the parent coaches, as determined by the Hilliard FC Directors, of the available players.   The draft will take place within a few weeks of the Hilliard FC team formation for the same gender/age group of the players not placed on a Hilliard FC team.   Teams will compete in the Mid Ohio Select Soccer League (MOSSL). During the year, the team will play both a Fall and Spring season, attend training camps and technical sessions, participate in tournaments and may participate in optional Winter leagues or training sessions at indoor facilities. Teams are from U9 to U14.  Check out this link to learn more about HFC Select guidelines: HFC Select Guidelines.
