Recreational Referees

HOSA has brought recreational referee training  in-house, rather than asking you to annually attend classes for which you have to pay to be licensed. There is no charge to register as a HOSA Recreational Referee.

Anyone who will be turning 13 years of age this calendar year or older interested in being an HOSA Recreational referee is eligible.  Please see the box to the right for up to date seasonal information.

On Field Trainings 

We are expanding our referee training to include more on-field experience.  If you are a new referee to HOSA Rec you must attend 2 trainings.  All returning referees are required to attend 1 unless you are a certified Grade 8 (or better) referee.

Location:  HOSA Soccer Complex, 6371 Scioto Darby Road.  

All Referees will be required to have an up to date concussion in sports certificate.  A copy of this certificate must be provided to HOSA.

• Click here to go to get started
• Click on Please Login to Order then Register Button to create an account - fill out profile (there is no charge for this course)
• When given the option to filter courses, check mark the boxes recommended for everyone, Category, Elective Courses, and Free. Select the Concussion in Sports” program. Click on View Course. On the next screen click on Order Course
• Make sure you have OHIO chosen for the “Choose the state in which you coach and click on SAVE and then click on Checkout and then Complete Purchase This will send an email to your address you submitted to get you to the course OR you can choose to do the course from that receipt by clicking on the “here” word.
• Course takes 20-30 minutes.

NOTE:  We are moving to GotSport for our registration system.  

If you do not have a GotSport account, you will be required to create one before your registration.  

Minors cannot register themselves.  A parent must complete the registration.
